Have you ever come across strange wordings or stumbled over obviously wrong terms when reading translated texts?
Such things may happen whenever translators do not have an opportunity to contact the manufacturer or supplier directly with questions referring to the respective products or services. Sometimes a translator just has to be "taken by the hand" by the customer to find out about the correct meaning of specific terms.
This might be the case, for example, if machines or systems are very complex. It could then be extremely helpful if the translator stops by the customer's premises to have a look at the system and to have it explained by the experts on site.
This is the reason why I prefer not to work for large agencies, but to be in direct contact with my customers instead. As personal and local as possible.
Short and direct communication channels as well as personal contact and personal support!
Furthermore you can be sure that your local translator will not be in the dark but knows what your products and services are about and what kind of customers you would like to address with the respective texts.
